Once a bustling four-track mainline, the current trackage of the CF&E is a shell of its forrmer self. As a result of mergers and cost-cutting measures, the CF&E's line into Chicago is single tracked and demands slow running. Passing through once mighty towns such as Lima and Van Wert, the urban and rural scenes of the CF&E host some unique photo locations.
