Greenfield Village - Dearborn, MI
Situated adjacent to the Henry Ford Museum, this recreation of a historic village features an assortment of buildings that all have their own historic significance. Everything from farms to blacksmiths are represented, and there is also classy historical restaurants to dine at. There's the house that Henry Ford was born in, and even some sheep! The village is home to the Weiser Railroad, which operates three steam locomotives on a four mile loop around the park. The oldest on the roster is Torch Lake, which was built in 1873 for the copper mines of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Torch Lake was out when I was shooting, and the engine proves to be a perfect fit for the place.
