Nestled into the rolling hills of the Poconos, the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway cuts through 8 miles of rugged but beautiful countryside. The line, despite its length, features three bridges, a rock cut, and many curves hugging the mountainside. On several occasions throughout the year, host railroad Reading and Northern will bring out its stunning blue 4-6-2 steam engine number 425 to power the daily trains on the line.
