Strasburg Rail Road 2021
On a late fall day in Pennsylvania's Lancaster County, the Strasburg Rail Road was a busy place. Former Norfolk & Western 4-8-0 "Mastadon" type steam locomotive number 475 pulled a mixed freight/passenger train for the delight of a handful of photographers. Meanwhile on the Strasburg's regular passenger trains, ex Canadian National 2-6-0 "Mogul" type steam locomotive number 89 was in charge.
The Strasburg Rail Road, located in Ronks, Pennsylvania, is one of the most famous railroad attractions in the country, and perhaps the world. Running daily excursion trains on an eight mile trip through some beautiful Amish country, the railroad has hauled millions pf passengers since its inception in the 1960s.
