Strasburg Rail Road - Ronks, PA
About 90 minutes west of Philadelphia lies a short 4-mile railroad that cuts through the middle of Pennsylvania's Amish country. Originally chartered in 1832, the popular tourist line is one of the oldest railroads in operation in the country. Being a mere four miles long, the 45-minute ride is scenic and satisfying, and with a mainly steam locomotive roster, there's always a show going on. In recent years, the railroad has taken up the freight trans-loading business, which is expanding every year. No matter the season or train, the Strasburg Rail Road is one of my favorite places to shoot.
